Working Out

Wow, I haven't posted in a long time, but yes, I am still going to Weight Watchers and I still haven't gained anything back! I am down 13.6lbs and currently weigh 153.8lbs. My goal is still 140lbs but I would love to see if I can lose more.

Anyway, so I kind of had a couple of weeks where I didn't do any exercising except some walking, and I ate chocolate bars (I don't think I am supposed to tell my fellow weight watchers at meetings that Reese's new whipped peanut butter bar is delish - my team leader gave me the evil eye!) and I haven't lost huge amounts and last week, I stayed the same. So I do know that I have to work at this, so today, this is what I did:

Yes, I really do have the 1980's Jane Fonda Step Aerobic workout VHS!!!! And I haven't been able to complete the exercise in its entirety in a long time but today I did! My face was as red as a tomato and sweat was dripping off me, but I did it! And I have to say, I feel really good. I just hope that I can remember this feeling the next time I need to do it and try as usual to talk myself out of why I should exercise!

One More Pound Gone!

I don't know how I managed to do it because I took a girls trip to Seattle last weekend and literally ate what I liked and drank alcohol, something I really started to watch when I began Weight Watchers - but I still lost a pound this week! I didn't even exercise either!

So I am down by 12.8lbs so far and have just another 14lbs to lose to reach my goal weigh, so I am almost half way there! It feels incredible to not be carrying around an extra 13lbs anymore, so I can't wait until I have lost the whole amount.

My weight loss is slower than some other peoples but at least the scale is moving in the right direction and I figured that if I were to lose it quickly, I would gain it back quickly too.

I would say that I was planning to exercise properly this week, however I injured my leg in Seattle when I, ahem, fell off a deck! Now, I agree that there was alcohol involved but I feel that this had nothing to do with me ending up on the ground with my legs all twisted and my friends in a panic! I put off going to see the doctor but the pain is getting worse so I have an appointment tomorrow to see him as he insisted I get it checked out. Hopefully nothing is fractured!

Absence

So I have been absent from the blog for a couple of weeks because work has been so busy and tiring, then last week I didn't go to my meeting because I was exhausted, and this week I went not expecting anything because I haven't been able to go on my daily walks after toenail surgery, but surprise surprise, I was down again! I have now lost 11.8lbs in total, so I am really happy but obviously would like to lose a little bit more each week. I am definitely not an over achiever in the weight loss department but any weight loss is better than none at all!

I am getting slightly irritated with my meeting person. She keeps writing down the wrong amounts. Last week she wrote down that my weight was 156.2lbs when it was actually 156.6lbs so I told her about it, and after I told her, she weighed me and I was down to 155.6lbs and she wrote down that I had a 0.6lb loss, when clearly it is 1lb (156.6 last week, 155.6 this week???)

Good job I can keep track all by myself!

Hit the 10lb Mark!

I lost 1.6lbs this week which is amazing because due to the weather and then getting a horrible cold that has moved on to my chest, I have not walked since Sunday! And to be honest, I really really miss it. I love my walking! And now that I am 10.6lbs lighter, I feel so much better! I have 16.8lbs more to lose until I reach my goal weight and I feel great knowing that week by week I am inching my way there!

I really need to step up my exercise routine though, even if the weather does not cooperate and let me walk. I need to have more days of my Pilates and I should incorporate my step aerobics which I used to love when I was skinny. I know that will help burn more calories. I am just more determined not to give in to any weaknesses and am more motivated to lose the weight than I ever was.

Hey, I even picked up a Twix bar at the store today and put it back twice before finally walking out without it. That's willpower!

That is really nice to look at!

9lbs so far. I just have to keep on track, keep writing everything down and working harder at this so I can reach my goal. I have just over 18lbs to lose and I am so motivated!

I'm a Loser!

In weight that is!!

So I lost 1.8lbs this week, almost at my 2lbs a week goal, but this means I have now lost 8lbs! I first weighed in on March 4th at 167.4lbs and today I weighed in at 159.4lbs.

Yay me!

What I have learned this week

It is okay to eat birthday cake on your birthday and drink a glass of wine, but it doesn't give me that sense of satisfaction that it once used to. In fact, it makes me feel like I have gorged myself for about 24 hours.

I weighed in with a .6lb loss tonight, nothing to write home about but I am happy there was no gain and to be honest, I wasn't expecting anything at all.

Desserts are desserts are desserts. Whether they come in a Weight Watchers box and only have 2 points, they are still desserts. I must cut back on them!

I drank a Starbucks today and did not enjoy it. Will I ever learn?

I have lapsed in writing down my food each day - "you bite it you write it" - and that has not helped me achieve success this week. I will be making more of an effort over the next 7 days to write every single thing down.

I love walking! I am so surprised at myself because I hate exercise. But I absolutely love walking everywhere now. I even walked today when there was a semi blizzard outside! Actually my walking partner made me duck into the parking garage and we realized that there are five floors and you have to walk up a steep incline to get to each floor. So we walked to the top and then we walked down again and did not have to suffer the blizzard. But I was happy to walk in the snow!

I am not losing as much weight as I would like - it has taken me 4 weeks to achieve what I did in my first week with the South Beach diet - however, slow and steady with no cravings is working for me and I feel better.

I love getting compliments on how I am losing weight by people I have not seen in a while!
